
CALL TO ARTISTS: Public Art for Revolution Mills Entrance
Who: The United Arts Council of Greater Greensboro (UAC) is working in partnership with Revolution Mill Studios to present a dynamic public artwork in Greensboro.
What: The artwork will be located at the entrance of Revolution Mill Studios in Greensboro. This project is a vision conceived by Revolution Mill Studios to commemorate the history and transformation of Revolution Mill through public art that will encourage visitors and dialogue about Greensboro’s rich manufacturing history.
This will be a two phase project with a budget range of $25,000 to $50,000. Phase I is a request for qualifications from artists within the 12 county Piedmont Triad region. A panel will review all RFQs and arrive at three finalists. Phase II, the three finalists will be asked to submit a proposal and budget requirements for the project. The three Finalists will be compensated with a $1,500 stipend. Selection of final project artist will be announced post September 10, 2008.
